Hi All,

Now I've actually got fish 6 harlequins to start with, I need to think a bit about a feeding regime. I've got some flake food, tetra pro stuff to use and I believe I can feed live stuff (daphnia or bloodworm) maybe twice a week, does this sound about right?
Also as the fish only arrived home tonight, should I look to feed them today or wait till tomorrow evening?

Cheers,

Keith

I would only fed them daphina if their constipated or you can do it to prevent constipation and bloodworms should only be given as a treat not a food to be fed everyday so like maybe one or twice a week you can give them some blood worms. :)

???? Never heard that one before. Feeding peas is usually associated with constipation. Not daphnia.

They will need a varied diet of frozen foods and veg, a good diet is just as important as good water quality, i feed frozen every day had no problem but i feed different foods daily, like bloodworms, daphnia, brimestrimp, riverstrimp, krill, veg peas, broc, cucumba but mine don't like that, lettuce, green cabbage, algae tablets, and algae flakes, then there flakes, don't feed to many dried foods as it leads to constipation and swim bladder problems, good luck.
