Nova isn't it's full name there is something else in the name too but all I can get is that it's a highly aggressive black catfish with white front fins and white whiskers.
Any ideas? Sorry I can't get a picture or a better description.

Apparently it's also a pleco sort of shape in body but will eat anything it can fit in it's mouth... It has whiskers that are white, it's full black in body and it's pectoral fins are white as well.

Nova is a name often used by importers for some of the woodcats (Auchenipteridae), though I can't think of any that have white pectoral fins and white barbels.
I'm assuming it's not something like a Hemibagrus wyckioides?
I'm pretty sure we are going to need a picture to confirm the ID, but if you know it's predatory, then you can pretty much be sure it will have be kept in a tank with either larger fish, and there is a possibility that it could be a tank-buster!

Oh I'm not buying it but I've never heard of it before and was wondering what it's like. I have no way to get a picture unfortunately...
No it's not that one... Just been told that it's full name is Novataetious (pronounced nova-ta-tious or similar) or something along those lines...
