ok . . .so i got a catfish. he's beautiful and i love him. he was sold to me under Arius graeffei and i thought, cool, he's not gonna get too big. but he does NOT look it at all. here are some pics, please help!

It looks like one of the Chrysichthys species to me http/www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/genus.php?genus_id=153 Ariid catfishes dont have long nasal barbels.

i got a Arius graeffei the other day ( yours looks completely diff to mine) also known as a shrak cat cause their dorsal fin looks like a shark fin, n when they eat they look like a shark lol. good luck on finding out what yours is, hopefuly he doesnt grow too big. he is very cute tho.

so i found out what he was, because he's fully acclimated and got all his color back, he is one of the species the other guy said . . .but he only gets up to 18-20 inches, so i can rehouse him easiiy.i'm glad i don't have to get rid of him.certainly is cute, though i have had a casualty already from him. i had him in my tank with my 8 inch parrot fish. bad mistake. my parrot had his eyeballs eaten out. and some scales look like they've been rubbed off . . . .too bad . . . rip no name parrotfish.
