Not so LFS

if you insolate them well they should be ok, you say motorway's and class A roads, how long would it take you? I used to heat up a hot water bottle and put it in one of those insolated boxes, you could use a cooler box too, and when you put the fish in they should be kept nice and worm.

No problem at all, fish survive the much longer trip from the wild/fish farms to get to the stores so a couple of hours in a car isnt going to hurt. I have often ordered fish from cornwall (i live in london) and they are sent by overnight courier spending over 12 hours in the bags and ive never had one turn up worse for wear or dead.

I get most of my fish "not so locally". One shop is 90 miles away, and the other is 100 or so.

Never had any problems with transporting. I usually put the fish bags in a cooler for the ride home (without ice, of course :)).
