Not Another Syno Id Thread! D:

I went on PlanetCatfish.com's forums and they couldn't tell me what it was, so maybe you guys can help me out.

This is my synodontis. He's about 5 inches long. I bought him from the store and he was labeled Synodontis decorus but it definitely isn't.

Can anyone help me? D:

when i first saw the fish i thaught"decorus" but it looks like an occifeler

I checked this site when looking to identify my syno (didn't help but mine isn't as distinct paterns as yours)

I am now a huge Syno cat fan...

Looks like an occifeler to me too. Decorus have stripes through the tail, not spots, as well as a longer snout.

i was just going by the body structure in the first picture.but yeah its more then likely a occifeler with the golden color and the large blck spots

not sure on an occelifer, dosen't look like mine! different shape and spots are alot bolder on yours and bigger. mines about 7" so maybe they change alot as they get bigger!!

When I first saw the pic from above I thought "what the hell is that"
but looking from the side it looks like an under fed and young Synodontis Ocellifer.

Nice looking fish, mine is a pain in the ass though, getting very territorial
