Not Allowed To View Private Messages?! But I Have 2! :(

I have 2 private messages but I get a screen which says its both an error and saying I am not allowed to access the PM pages. This seems somewhat unfair. Is this policy for new members?

Oh ok. I promise I'm not a spambot, but I understand it seems sensible. Is it written somewhere? Sorry. Still learning how to navigate around the forum.

erm, not quite ian! I have a small chat section on my webpage linked to a small forum on the page as well, like this one it has a 10 post restriction but i am flooded with spam! I found out how the other day when one of my mates showed me a piece of malware going around that gets you to post up to the limit, and then it takes over controll and spams everywhere.

I have since closed the chat section

Spammers generally get shut down long before they hit 10 posts. It's easy enough to adjust that number, or bypass it for individual members.
