please could you people compile a list of

"goodies" and "baddies" that i may get with LR as i do not know what is good and waht is bad

do you mean what good and bad things can come in with live rock? If so then mantis shrimp and crabs are the main bad things. Good things include anemones, corals, starfish, urchins, octopus & macro algae.
