I know algae does produce bubbles, just every day by the time the lights are about to turn off my tank is totally covered in small bubbles, granted I ahve more algae then most in my tank, but does algae normally produce so many bubbles?

It just seems like a rather large amount, though it does build up over the twleve hour photoperiod, I have a 150w metal halide over a 65l, 40cm high tank, no supplementary lighting.

when plants get sufficient light they produce oxygen. When they are producing heaps of oxygen they produce little bubbles of it that are released into the water.
