I changed the water and added a bit of salt (read it on a betta site) and Ill see how its doing tomorrow

Filtration will most likely be very helpful, but use the salt, Maracyn-Two and pray.

Hes in a large breeding net in my 20gallon so theres alot of filteration i dont understand where it came from
