I am going to be getting a young Bearded Dragon soon who will be taking residence in my fifty gal. Presently, however, the fifty is taken up by a Box Turtle hatchling (who will be going to a turtle rescue shortly) and...my BABY!!! My baby is a brown anole; teeny little guy, only about three inches long--including his tail. He is GORGEOUS, too!!! Dark mottled brown with a cream stripe down his back with delicate black designs, and a shockingly white throat with little dotted black-brown lines running down it.

My problem?

In order to get my beardie, the fifty has to be empty. If I keep my baby in there, the beardie would EAT him without a moment's hesitation. I can't keep him in another cage, though, either--I'm not allowed to have another cage in my room. But I CAN"T just get rid of him!!! The longer I have him, the more he grows on me. Now he's just too cute and--and--and cute and...um...cute. HE"S TOO CUTE!!! I can't just get RID of him!! :-( I'm gonna cry... What am I gonna DO?!!! WAAAAAAA!!!! :-( :-( :-(

Hi Never2Bknown Cant you put a divider in there for now. I know this is rough issue to deal with. I hope everything works out for you ok.

You can't squeeze in a little ten gallon for the anole? A divider would have to go all the way from top to bottom, touching both, in order to work :)
