 as i was feeding my fry today (total of 24), everythign was fine and dandy, but i noticed at the end of the meal of bloodworms that one signle fry was swimming funny  like he can't quite control his swimming and aws always floating.

Swim bladder disease, i'm almost sure of it  he aws just fine this morning too! what on earth happened :/

this is the 2nd fry that's been striked with this...and sadly this one was one of my fastest growing ones, he already has his colorings and everything

is there anythign ti can do to help them fix it? i'm gong to try and feed them a pea or two :-(

feed them less (but you already figured that). the good news with sbd in fry is that they can recover from it as they are still growing. since he was the fastest growing he is probably the bully and gets to the food before everyone else. is there a way of seperating him from the others at least when it's feeding time?

so far they are fed about 3 times a day..once in the morning, afternoon and then once again at night. Thier diet now consists of live blackworms, frozen bloodwroms, frozen brine shrimp (occassionally teh weird frozen daphnia) and some crushed dried biogold pellets.

I usually feed them until i see that they all have nice rounded bellies (some have huge bellies beucase they just somehow get to the food even though it wasn't intended for htem)

Each time i feed them their bellies are always down and they look hungry  anyhow, i have spereated the two fry with sbd and is floating them in the same think but in a clear plastic container so they can see the siblings but won't fight over the food so much.

I think i'm giong to fast those two for a few days and decrease the feedings to twice a day and feed less amounts.

Good to know that this may not be permanet, breaks my heart to see them swim in such a demented way  :-(
