Hi guys this is my first time posting in a fish forum but i have been reading about qand keeping fish for some time

Im stocking my 90 l tank and so far have a few schools in it but would like 1 or 2 center peace fish

right now i have 10 cardinal tetras and 8 phantom tetras and 3 kuili loachs also a bristle nose plec

my problem is i dont want to add any more schools ( even small ones like my loachs) i just want 1 or 2 fish that are happy being loners and will grow to a bigger size than the tetras .

many thanks :)

You could add one make dwarf gourami, he would be very happy in a big tank like that and they have a lot of personality.

Or a trio of honey gouramis, ideally one male with at least two females, very peaceful.

Can't tempt you to add even just one more kuhli? From their point of view 3 is a very small group, another 2 or 3 wouldn't make much difference to the visual impact of the tank to you, but might be better for them.

i was thinking about gouramis but i think the prefer slow flow rates ? i did have a betta in the tank but i think he was suffering in the flow of my filter (fluval u3) so i moved him into my old 50L tank which i have set up with a slower water movement

i am really tempted to get 2 or 3 more kuhils buti want fish i can see the kuhils are too shy :) i do love them when i see them and if the were more of them to see....

Fish like kuhlis become more confident in larger groups, so if you got another two or three, you probably would see them more.

You don't have an awful lot of room in your tank, but as the other posters have said, honey gouramis would be nice; or what about a dwarf cichlid? Bolivian rams or apistogrammas might do well.

cichlid would be aggresive ? i had thought about a red tailed shark but decided against becos of the agresion reports

Only some members of the cichlid family are aggressive; dwarf cichlids are quite peaceful.

Your tank would have been too small for a red tailed shark anyway :)

I love sailfin mollies, especially the male because of the fins !

going to check out Rams my lfs has some maybe i will get 1 or 2 .
i know i dont have much space left but just need 1 or 2 fish to finish the tank off
are mollys/platties ok in singels or pairs i allways thought they where schooling fish also
