Noisy Filter

I have a filter that constantly makes noise. It seems to be working correctly though.
Is that normal?

mine makes a noise, its' just a low hummmmmmmmm noise along with water falling lol. i acutally like it

I have that sometimes, the pump bit where the bubbles come out needs to be submerged to minimise the noise.

The noise here is more than humming. I'm affraid something is not right with the machine. My hubby suggested to shut it off at night, but I don't think I can do that...

Could be something caught on the impeller inside. Can you take it apart to see if there's anyting there. Don't turn it off at night - it's not the best thing to do. Is it an old pump that maybe has worn out.
