No Wonder My Other 2 Kribs Were Not Getting Along

Today I bought a male kribensisfor the female krib in th 45 gal. (took out other male and put in 30 gal. community). Try to follow this might get confusing. Put in new male in 45 gal with female. Right away seen male was smaller, that didn't work last time that is why other male was put in 30 gal. So I put the one from 30 gal in 45, so all 3 are together. Took out the original female from 45 gal. and put her alone in community tank. Now I see that the male I originally bought with the female is a female also . No wonder they were not getting along. Now I think, I have a male and female in the 45 gal. and close to the same size. Confused yet . Might have to read it over a few times to get it, sorry.
Will keep you up to date to tell you if they pair up or what happens. Or even if they are male and female. But with the top fins they sure look like a pair.

I think I read that and understood it! However, as Kribs are Cichlids, I'll move it and see if you can confuse the folks there!!!

how large are they? kribs are usually pretty sexually dichromatic and you should be able to spot a male from a female relatively easy once thay start to mature.

I am pretty sure that they are male and female. This female I have in the 45 gal right now is not as aggressive as the other I moved into the 30 gal yesterday. She is letting the male swim around the tank and eat. Not like the other female she wouldn't let the other swim or even eat without chasing it away. So things are going ok, she chases him once in awhile and they have only been in the same tank for 1 day, so we will see what happens now. I think I have fixed the problem, especially moving the very aggressive female alone in community tank with the other fish in there.
