my first batch of corydora eggs hatched in 3 days, this is the 2nd day of being hatched and there is no sign of anyone :/ im currently using gravel as thats all i had at the time. ive searched the tank and cant see a single fry.

should i wait or presume all is lost and remove the gravel and replace with sand for the next ready batch of eggs i have floating in a container in my main tank?

i just spotted one fry, swimming about :hyper: , no sign of egg sack so started feeding :good: lets hope the rest show there little faces :)

Have you tried moving the gravel about, gently?

I was looking after a friend's tank last year, when she was on holiday. She had a few fry and i couldn't see them, so i prodded around the gravel. Within seconds, 14 popped right out, before hiding again x

im too scared of killing them in the process  but im thinking if i can coax them out, il try catching them some how ( impossible maybe? ) and redoing the tank with sand.

Aww keep looking :good: hope they're in there somewhere, they are indeed very good at hiding, you could always try using a pipe off your gravel vac and gently suck up the water around the gravel into a small tub,try not to disturb the gravel too much and see if you can get them all, then you can change to a thin layer of sand, much easier to see them then :good:

They won't move much until they use their egg sac up anyway.then they'll start hunting for food :)

below is a pic of the container in my main tank with 4 fry and about 40 eggs that are attached to my thermometer sensor.
