After about a week of threatment (20 minute salt baths mainly) I have seen no more sings of Ich for the past to days. However, he is rather lethargic sleeping on the bottom of his tank (he hides under or in his plant most of thet time). He seems to comes up only for air and food.

His fins are clumped (and he is a plakat to boot), and are actually in worse condition I think since before I started. Any advice on what to do next.

He is eating well though.

When you did the salt bathes..did you gradually add plain water to teh salt water....or did you just take him straight out of the salt bath and place him in plain water again?

His main tank has some salt, but a very small amount. As for the salt bath tank. I remove and add unsalted water at 3 times 10 minute intervals (1/3rd or so) or so to dilute it a bit before going back to his main tank. But the concentration of salt in his slat bath tank would still be much higher than his regular tank.

I was under the impression that you were supposed to keep removing the salted water and replacing it with plain water until you had most of the salt back down to a tsp per gallon.

Has something to do with their cells soaking up too much water at one time if you don't.

Maybe he is just stressed out from being messed with so much. That's alot of activity/treatment for a little guy, you know.

Thanks SRC, next time (and I hope there isn't one) I will do more water changes over a longer period of time.

He is much perkier tonight though :D
