After reading through a majority of the beginner's questions posts - I've noticed quite a few posts regarding problems with algae. Well, the three main tanks that are running in my house haven't had a problem with algae. I mean I've never really seen any algae problems with them. There's been a couple of instances of a little brown algae when intially adding bubble wands to the tanks but that cleared up within a week or so. I usually do at least one if not two 20% water changes every week. I'm not trying to be naive here, just wondering if this is normal?

Thanks in advance

Consider yourself lucky

Light cycling and water quality seems to be key in controlling algae. Perhaps you're doing everything right :good:

Thanks TerraDreamer for the quick response - it makes me feel better about my fish :yahoo: knowing that it appears I'm on the right track - since I'm such a 'worry wart' about them...'knock on wood' :look:

Yea i never really have algae problems. Like just stated as long as there is not too much light, have real plants and good water quality it rarely is a problem. Most cases are when the tank is in direct sunlight.
