On a cycled tank are we supposed to have nitrites and nitratees and about ich could it be like a big white bump on the lower jaw were the chin would be because i have a red belly piranha

On a cycled tank you should have zero ammonia, zero nitrITES and positive nitrATES if you do not have this situation you are not cycled yet. What are your levels? No ich is small salt like specs all over the fish. A big white bump may be a cyst but without a oic or more detailed description i can only guess. HTH :)

So you are into the nitrite spike phase. Do you have any seed material from an established tank? If you do this would be an excellent time to add it as it will really speed things up for you. you could use filter material or gravel or plants etc. If you use filter material add it to your filter as this will give it maximum exposure to the water and help immensely. keep being patient everything seems to be going fine at this point in the cycle. HTH :)

I've got a 15g tank, I'm 19 days in, no ammonia no nitrites. Got some vallis from the lfs on day 2 and 3 mollies on day 5. Bogwood on day 10. Didn't get my test kit untill 3 days ago (hopeless online company). It hasn't got a nitrAte test. So I don't know if I've cycled yet?
P.S. Fish are happy and active. :dunno:
Could the bogwood and vallis have been well seeded giving me a quick cycle?
