OK....I finally got to the pet shop and got a Nitrite/Nitrate kit.....the Nitrate is at 20.....but the Nitrite is between 5.0 and 10.0.
I checked the ammonia again and it is at .5-1.0.
PH is at up to 7.2
do I need to lower this?

so my angels probably don't have a disease....am I right???
They are just dying from high nitrite...

Well ...I didn't purchase anything to lower the nitrite, and it will be late tomorrow night before I make it back home with anything....is there anything else can I do to help keep my angels alive?

I have already done a 25% water change today.

They are acting pretty spunky, ...and very very hungry...no more sinking and floating sideways around the tank.

I am soooo ready for this to end....I got the aquarium to relax me...and I have only been stressed out so far!!
Thanks for all the help.....
Trish

It seems your tank hadn't finished cycling before you added fish and as i suggested in a earlier post your fish are suffering from a internal bacterial infection brought on buy the poor water quality. The ammonia and nitrite needs to be zero and you should aim to keep the nitrates down to below 30.Keep doing the water changes a little a day until the bacteria in your filter has matured enough to cope,if you can get a product such as Nitrazorb made by American pharmaceuticals this will help to lower the readings quicker but may prolong the cycling process.Only feed your fish a small ammount once every other day until the readings are zero, dont worry this wont harm them fish can go weeks without being fed at all.Your PH is fine as it is,if its just angels you want to keep you might want to think about putting some peat in your filter to soften and acidify it slightly but do this at another time, one problem at a time eh.Hope you egt this problem sorted quick so you can get on with the more pleasurable task of sitting back and watching your fish enjoying them selves, good luck and happy fish keeping.
