I done a large water change and a big vacum of my 18 month saltwater tank and the tank is having a nitrite spike which killed my fish the corals are still in there will they be okay what will I do to help lower the nitrites Thanks if you can help

How high are they? Usualy, corals will go in a nitrIte spike before the fish...

The best action is a large waterchange

All the best

Fish dying before corals in a nitrite spike..... What is the pH, ammonia and other parameters at the moment? Have you added any new rock or fish? That is very strange that the fish went before the corals, what corals do you have? Are they still extending and look healthy? I would say if the nitrite has spiked then water changes are the immediate remedy. You could have a problem with the bio-filter therefore you may wish to try a bacterial broth like stability just to aid recovery.

Hope this helps and the corals maintain their health

Regards
