Hello everyone,

What is the max reading for nitrates you can saftley have in your tank ?

Also how do you change the colour of the little figure in your profile ?

Ideally you want to keep your nitrates under 100ppm, preferably no higher than around 40ppm, less is better though.

They really have to get to 100+ before they become any kind of hazard but as stated, you should try to keep them low via water changes to help prevent algae.
