Nitrate Filters

Hey All,

Was wondering if there is anybody on here that uses some form of nitrate filters on their tanks. Some that I know of are the pozzani nitrate filter which is used to filter water from tap before it goes in tank;

Or something like the aqua medic nitratereductor 400 with a dosing pump;

My nitrates are high, i get 30ppm out of the tap, and need a way to lower the levels, and I was thinking either going for one of these, or if someone on here could advice me of something.

Why do you need to lower the nitrate level out of the tap? 30ppm is not that high...

Oops I meant 38 close to 40. I keep tropheus and I understand they like good quality water.

Hi........I have 40ppm nitrates on draft and it has never been an issue to my fish keeping history, ie. Community>Bettas>Tanganyika Cichlids.
