The more I read about this camera, the more I want one!

 The Noise, even at high ISO is amazing.

I am so glad that Nikon has improved its Battery Grips too, even if they are more expensive now, 8fps !!

oooh don't get me started on camera's!!! I want a dslr sooooooo bad......
Is the nikon good, I'm still reading reviews on various cameras.

according to the title, Gaz will sell himself for one, i reckon we should help him by having an auction, to have him as a male slave for a month -( well have you seen the price of that camera!!)

dishwashing skills?

Would love to join you, Gaz, but I have a D700 winging its way to me as we speak.

P.S. I also have the 14-24mm f2.8 on its way.....drooltastic stuff. Wide angle photography on a full frame sensor. Hand held low light photography too. Go Nikon!!!

Dave.

:hyper: you lucky, lucky *censored*

I was just thinking about the D700, along with that 24-70 f2.8, however i'd have to sell my 17-55 f2.8 :(

14mm is wide!! Must see pics when you get it!

What body are you upgrading from?

d300 in an awesome but of kit.... only had it a couple of weeks but sooooo good & even without the bat pack it is 6fps....untill you run out of buffer, on small jpg using a sb600 flash i filled a 4gb card before it stopped or 12 raw.... take your pic if you pardon the pun LOL

just sell your ass dude it's worth it :LOL

you can get it to do 8fps without the battery pack by changing the bracketing options (theres how to vids on youtube) only drawback is you cant use the flash - dunno if it would work with a SB800 or SB900 on repeat mode though. I already have decent glass so the dream set up for me would be a D300, MB-D10 grip and a SB900

Just got my hands on my D700 yesterday. I have taken some low light indoor pics using a Nikkor 50mm f1.4 at ISO 200 with no flash and hand held. The results were far better than I hoped. Absolutely razor sharp. I now have to wipe all the drool off it.

jammy git LOL

charge time on the inbuilt flash... or possibly an overload protection system?
