What a day was just about to pack away my old laptop and tripped over my own feet and sent it crashing straight through my tank dumping the contents ,fish, substrate and 120ltr of water all over my ipod that was charging by the side of it.
so now i have a 80ltr plastic stacker with all my fish in sitting on the floor untill my insurance company sorts a new tank out for me.

i managed to save all the fish bar 1 dwarf gurami that the laptop ended up on
This all happened a week ago and still waiting for some news from insurance luckily i was using an external filter so i have that and my heater running in the stacker

i hope you get insurance... for it. is there any nice new tanks you got your eye on? ;p

sorry to hear about the fish... how did it end up under the laptop?

You don't know whether to laugh or cry if something like that happens.

Hopefully, you didn't get hurt in this incident. The stuff you can just replace. Damage to your body sometimes lasts a lifetime.

I was carrying my laptop one day with my cat perched on my shoulder. My mother lives with me because she is ill and she's just a very anxious sort. She was all "you shouldn't carry them both, what if the cat jumps, blah blah blah"

Keep in mind the cat is blind and doesn't jump if he doesn't known where he'll land. In seven years he's never once jumped from my shoulder.

Until that day, of course.

As soon as I brush her off and tell her not to worry the cat goes flying off my shoulder. My choice is to drop the brand new $1,000 laptop or let the cat fall). The laptop hit the floor and I caught the cat midleap.

Luckily the damage was easily repaired, but my mother will never let me live that one down.

(fullest sympathy, seriously. I'm glad almost all the fish made it)

Well luckily you weren't hurt and there was only one fish loss.
