Are you using for plants or just lighting? If you are using for plants what depth is your tank?

its 24 wide 12 depth and 16 inches high

Does it do a sunrise/sunset or does it just turn off?

It doesn’t have any sunrise/sunset, it just turns on and off. It is however dimmable, and has a blue setting. (Although the fish don’t like the blues)
