hi all
if you had a 5ft tank what pleco would you pick to put in it

and no i cant put in a zebra L046 :hyper:

rgds

Violet Cochliodon(L137), "violet bruno" :good:

A rusty out of all the plecs available :p, each to there own i guess....

If it was me and chose a species tank with more than one plec it would probably be L128 blue phantoms but a single plec would probably be L90 or maybe L350 or possible an L25 but my choice would be a small group of L128's :)

Not bothered about going for a large plec myself, for some odd reason I really like the Bulldog Plec, especially the greener varieties. I think they only get a little bigger than a BN, about 4" or so? I'll get one as soon as I see a nice one for sale. I have a male BN at present, so getting one of these will wait until my 5ft'er tank turns up (one week left

Nice pics here: http://www.planetcat...?species_id=318

edit: That L128 looks awesome though...how big do they get? What sort of price are they? Could they co-exist with a bulldog and bristlenose?????

Anything upto 8-9 inches, price wise will depend on size and where you purchase but anything from £20(smaller)-£80(usually pretty much full gorwn).

They should be fine with both the plecs mentioned as long as the tank is big enough and the tank has plenty of hiding places for all.

Yeah, it would be a 5ft tank, sand substrate and plenty of hiding places :)

I bet I never see one anywhere...

i love royal plecos. i was really tempted to buy one yesterday, but the £40 price tag put me off. :(

cheers :good:
