I bought dividers for my 20 gal betta-tank-to-be, and they were SO small they barely divided half of it! I returned them, outraged, and was asked to measure my tank and confirm the height and width (my dad SWORE it was a 20) and I checked and rechecked, but lo and behold this monstrosity is a 30 gallon. Well, they only had 2 dividers, which I guess is good news for my fish (since Orchid died, I only have 3 bettas) SO, now they can all get a 10 gallon home.

Well, here's my plan. There's a snow white VT at this teeny not so local lfs I visited, and I was considering rescuing him or some other needy VT and putting him in the third section instead of Dory, then upgrade Dory to the 2.5 gallon I have. What do you think? Poor Dory is getting kinda jipped in the whole deal, but right now her vase holds less than a gallon.

Sounds good. My fish love the 2.5! Plus, it's a lot more room than Dory is used to. BTW, I love that you named your fish Dory! :p

Ok, i got the 30 gallon dividers. They didnbt fit quite right, but after using my dad's bandsaw and a LOT of patience, the dividers fit PERFECTRLY. I put Sky in the middle section, and in two seconds flat he found the gap between the divider and the wall and was all over the place. SO I took him out and fixed the dividers, doubble checked their security, and I will put Merlin in when I am positive Sky can mind his own business. Maybe in another few hours.
