HI, OK, feeling inspired (and somewhat at a lose end with a tube of silicone sealant), I made one of those pebble caves you've been talking about (and building).

I have to say it was a heck of a lot harder than you made it look on the forum! I got sealant everywhere and the pebbles were very reluctant to stay put.

However, in the end I made quite a nice little cave, the sort a miniture ogre could live in. But I forgot one thing - I don't actually have any cave-dwelling fish.

Should I put it on the mantlepiece as an ornament or put it in my livebearer tank? Would mollies, guppies or SAEs appreciate a cave?

I can't believe I didn't think of that! :S

Could u post up a picture and someone could buy it like me!?!? But u could put it in the livebearer tank of babies fish to hide in!

Snotirl - make your own! Seriously, get creative. A cave is a good DIY project to start on.

Thanks for the suggestion about the cave being for fry - I might actually do that.

Now with a cave, you could rescue another betta and you will make it very happy by knowing that you made it a cave all it own. LOL Sorry,,, I am on a betta thing this week.

Alien anna,

My CAE, flying fox and dwarf Gourami are extremely fond of the cave in our tank. Infact they are always fighting to get there first

My mollies and tetras do not seem to enjoy it.

So your SAE might like it after all. :D

edit: BTW, how big is the cave? Mine has an entrance about 5cm.
