Thought I ought to register and say hello.
I've been using this site and forums for reference for a couple of weeks...here's my story, turn away if you're bored already.
Started my first tank for tropical about 12months ago. Yep I started with all the ignorance you'd expect from a newbie. I started with a 2ft tank and a couple of guppies. Fatally I took the advice from the guy I purchased from. Soon I was on the Net looking for answers and thankfully I foung them. Now with my wife and kids gaining interest I've been granted permission for a new tank.
Not wanting to jump the gun I came here for advice. I'm thinking of cycling this tank with the new fishless theory..(I'll let you know how I'm getting on.)
Just before I go I feel I must tell you we woke up yesterday to our first ever fry. No intension yet of breeding but life is life. My Sunset Platys purchased less than a week ago have produced. Must have purchased a pregnent female
) Thanks to information gained here we knew what to do.
Oh well looks like I got to start that new tank ASAP.
