i just got 2new bn's and was wondering what kind of vegetables freezedried/boiled/frozen i could feed them.

at this stage theyr about 1-2 inches long.

any help would be greatly appricated.

regards,

Fresh sliced cucumber, washed lettuce leaf, 'Zucchini', also spinach and sprouts but I tend not to use these as they break down quickly. Shelled peas (buy a bag of frozen peas pop a couple in some boiling water and wait till the cool down, pop out of shells and drop in plain view in tank.

My baby bristle noses actually ignore any green food I add, but this may be because I have aquite a bit of good algal growth...

thanks, they took care of my algea problems pretty fast anwyay i wos worried they might get bloat from eatin too much protien bassed foods...... if thats possible

can i just attach the vegatable e.glettuce to a rock with a rubberband? and if i feed them lettuce should i feed them the green(top) or white(bottom) part of the leaf?

Personally I would use a food clip (plastic clothes peg - with no metal part) and clip a leaf long enough to drape into the tank. Also, for the cucumber there is a device called the 'screw cumber' but dont fork out for that, go pick up a cheap corkscrew for 99p and snap off the cork screw bit. Rotate it into the cucmber/zucchine or whatever, and it will stay in place at the bottom. I've also used it to screw into the stalk of the lettuce leaf.

Bristle noses are fussy sometimes, but once acclimated to the green food, will munch it up!
