Newbie

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and pretty new to the fish world. Currently I have no fish but I used to have a male betta and after he died I had two goldfish. Even though I am inexperienced my dad is not and he is very excited that I am getting into it.
Right now I am doing research to find out what fish I should get. I am going to have a freshwater tank (starting out with my 5 gallon and then work up to this new 20 gallon that I am will eventually get when I know that I am up for it). Currently considering some Zebra Danios, Guppies, Otocinclus Catfish, Platys, and Ramshorn snails. If anyone has any suggestions please message me.
