Newbie ... Hello

Well Hello everybody,

Firstly let me say happy birthday to MaxOverKill, Sirius, fish_r_great, steppy104, lennym75, bettaboi. Congratulations

Well I am new to both fish keeping and this forum, and let me say that after reading through the topics this morning and the last few days, I am now terrified hehe

I started a new tank a month or so ago ( i had no idea about cycling ). I must have been quite lucky as some of the fish I have are still in good shape ( i think ). I had the tank of my parents who no longer have room as they already have another tank with a HUGE Oscar in it.

I am very naive at the moment as to what types of fish etc can be mixed into a new tank, so I apologise if I offend anybody I really wanted the tank mainly for some of the tropical red claw crabs which are awesome, unfortunalty my lack of knowledge meant that they passed away within a month or so ( very poor information from the LFS i must add). I have since been reading up on this new hobby and I am learning I think, that is until I read all these posts about cycling etc. IM TERRIFIED now lol.

Anyway, not getting into too much detail yet, just thought I would introduce myslef.. hello. I will try to get some images of my tank and fish to you soon, I may need some help identifying a couple of fish.

Yeah i`m a bit addicted to all things aquatic at the moment, quite sad for a 29yr old ) I blame it on a football injury and unable to leave the house for a day or so.

I must be older than you...no way could I cope with that Rock n Roll lifestyle you have. Some ace pictures on there, them were the good old days of music (oh god listen to me). Bring back Bon Jovi Blaze of Glory and a bit of Slash from guns n roses !!!! Motley Crue ruled too !!!

I dont live that lifestyle every week or even month, im quite boring actually lol, just every so often, im priveleged to go places, with friends, and meet interesting people...

I love the Rock N Roll stuff though, its great...!!

Not much time to go to gigs, last one was KT Tunstall with a few mates, it was OK.

Lol, i have also been into Rock from the age of 12, when i heard The Final Countdown by Europe, never did i realise that i would meet them, hang out with them, drink beer and party with them, and then become there moderator on there official website, those guys rock !!


I listen to lots of good music every day, hehe, you should check out Europe's new cd, "Start from the Dark" Its really heavy, really good tunes on it...

Why Not?? They split up for a while, and have re-formed around a year ago, there new style is much heavier than in the 80's, its great. !!

Ive seen them quite alot this year, even went to Belgium to see them, and hang out, it was worth it though, there really nice guys

Just visited the website... listening now to Gota have Faith... sounds quite cool, still has some recognisable 80`s sound to it... cant quite put my finger on it. Nice guitar riff on Start from the dark too.
