New Tropical Tank Need Advice...

My boyfriend is planning to use his old tank as a tropical tank, does anyone have any suggestions as to what fish he can stock it with?

The tank also doesn't have a hood and lights. Does anyone know where we can get one cheap? We need one 30 x 12".

you could do many things with that tank. as for the hood and lights go into a petsmart or something. figure out how many gallons you tank is. get it establish then ask the question of what to stock it with

None of my local shops sell hoods seperately for tanks so I thought I'd ask on here to see if someone knew of somewhere cheap online.

The tank is already cycled too.

charter house aquatics for lights. they have a website. search charter house aquatics. then look for the arc pod buy 3 11watt clip ons or a luminare. although luminare about 200 quid where as the clip ons are about 20 each. i have 3 on my 24 by 12 and there really good they compliment fishes colour and are good for plants

are you in uk? try ebay or freecycle for a hood/lights

if your in america i do believe they have something czlled craigs list? also check out classified ads and free ads in papers!

Yes I'm in the UK. I've tried looking on ebay for a hood but haven't found anything yet.
