Hi everybody. I'm from England. I've had a tropical tank since Christmas and have rigidly stuck to Platys (I thought I'd get to know one species really well to learn the 'business') until today, when I have just introduced 3 zebra danios - so beautiful. The tank actually belongs to my son but I have become obsessed with the hobby, so I guess it really belongs to me now. My son just feeds them in the morning! So, I'm off to get some emergency help from you people as I have a problem.

Hi lucy welcome! I too have got some platies, zebras are also a good fish to get started on. Watch out though- the hobbies addictive soon you'll be overun with tanks!! :p

Hi Lucy! ;)

Fish keeping-the most dangerous hobby of all, once you get hooked, you're done for! :p
You have the right idea i think about getting to know about 1 species first(i wish i did that instaed of buying the whole fish store :) )
About those danios, watch for the babies. Believe it or not, i would bet you have a few in your tank right now. They are so small, about the size of a single grain of sand. Dont bother trying to keep tem alive let alone catch them, they are too small and frail.

Nice to see you here though! Have fun and ask lots, nothing goes un-answered here, i promise.
For extra good advise, find "William", he is like the "god"(in a sence) on the site, he runs it.

Bottom line: Have Fun !!
