Hi guys. I have some platies and a betta. But one of the platies has developed a white spot on the nose. Any idea what could it be? Thank you.

Welcome to TFF

Looks like it may be an injury...was the tank cycled before adding fish?

Bettas really belong in a tank by themselves...what's the tank size?

Hi and welcome to TFF... :hi:
The white spot looks rather an injury than something else.

Hi guys. The tank size is 10 Gal Betta is doing fine not attacking anybody.
The tank is peaceful. This fish was bullied from another male and since then is kind of timid and not eating much, but that was a couple of weeks back. I put that one aside. The tank should be cycled now i adeed one of the bacteria solutions they sell. Thank you.

What are your readings for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte?

The bottled bacteria stuff doesn't guarantee a cycled aquarium

One of my gouramis had a similar injury on their tail by chasing the others… needless to say feeling a little sorry for itself!
