New To TF Forums, New to fish!

Hello from New Mexico. I'm new to this forum and new to the "fish world." I bought ...er uhm. . . ) Santa gave my son a fish tank for Christmas and I'm determined to do this right. I'm glad I found this place. I've been cruising around and I can really follow the posts here and think I can find some helpful and useful tips.

Hi and thanks for the welcome everyone!

My son is the proud new owner of a 10-gallon tank from Wali (yes, Santa shops there too). He is totally excited about this but is not sure why there are no fish yet

I want this to be a good experience for him - and perhaps become a hobby for him as well. I'm afraid I'm not a good example as the only fish I ever had was about 15 years ago and I don't even remember what kind of fish it was - only that it's bubble-gum shaped tank was more fascinating to me than the fish - - which ultimately died. . . This is going to be an experience for sure, but one that will take an investment of time and money I'm sure!!! - - - - Its a good thing he is patient!
