i have a 2 foot tropical freshwater tank in my house that i dont use i was wonderin how much it would cost to change it into a marine tank. i just have the glass tank no lights or heaters or anything. the tank is 2foot by 1foot by 1 foot.

I;ve just done the same added water and live rock in last few days

search my posts for advice but as a guide I used my existing 2 ft tank

live rock £50
water £18
light blb £15
coral sand £12
blue paint for back £16

thats what I;ve added so far

need to decide what you want to keap idealy, the sky is the limit when considering potential spends

cheers for the replie. iam just looking to keep a clown fish or two and sum corals and mybe a few snails or other small creaters. i was wondering also i have a heater for my 2 foot tank it was used in a salt water setup would it be able to work in a marine tank. and ive found the lid and light for the tank. the bulb is built into the tank if i were to buy a marine bulb would it just fit straight into the lid or would i need to buy a whole new lighting system.
