Hi all,

im new here, been looking at starting my new tropical marine aquarium and was looking at this tank as the base of my aquarium. Will thsi be ok?

http://www.theaquariumshop.co.uk/pearl-80-o-240.html

Its the bow fronted one. In silver not that makes a difference. It is 102 litres and i am looking to have corals and fish in my aquarium nothing too big in the fish department just clown fish size and around that.

Any opinions would be good.

I have read all teh basics and tutorials on the forum so just wanted your opinions also have looked at Nano reefs but a little small for what i want unless this is small enough to make into one. Although i believe it must be 10g or smaller?

TIA guys sorry for the nooby Q's!

Sounds fine. Much can be accomplished with tanks under 100L. The only problem I see is initially your lighting is limited. It comes stock with 2 x 18W flouros, a little under powered. It might be alright with corals like Shrooms and Zoanthids, with a few other low light requiring corals. But, this is only initial, youmight find yourself upgrading equipment like lighting as you go.

And just as a point of clarification, all tanks 30 gallons and under are considered a "nano" :)

Ah why thank you for the clarification i understood anythin 20 and under!

Will start a progress thread up in the next week or so when i get it all up and running and will probably have a whole host of my own Noob questions!

Thanks alot guys!
