Not going well - I can't even work out one of the plugs is and a small clear box, instructions don't show it , most of it looks easy - just literally plug in except for these 2 pieces!! :-(

Tried to add pics but apparently too large to download - think I have sorted it, think it was very obvious but wanted to check first - tomorrow the water goes in!!!

what part of the setup are you referring to?

Have worked it out thanks, have now added just over half the water, can I switch on now as was going to do the rest tomorrow or should I wait until tank is full?

as long as all the 'parts' you need to have underwater, are underwater, I don't see why you shouldn't turn on today.

...Kind of am curious why you would only fill it halfway though...

Because, somebody kindly bought me round a 25ltr drum of RO 'to be helpful' so I put that straight in but need more, so am having to go tomorrow to buy some more!! Think I will wait until tomorrow and then switch on - trying to be patient here but it aint easy :hyper:

Well it's all filled up and turned on!! Told my daughter if she is lucky we may even have a fish in there in 6 mths time lol Was a bit concerned with the spray bar?? seemed to be firing out in strange direction towards the lid also it is filled with loads of bubbles, hope they clear or we will never see anything!! Salt in the morning then going to try and find a local marine shop for some insperation ! Can't tell if the heater is on or not, guess I'll find out tomorrow if the water temp doesn't go up !!

Wonderful you got it setup now :)

6months? Long time!!! I couldn't wait that long. You can probably add some creatures before 6 months rolls around, that is a really really long cycle ;o

Ok, maybe a bit of an exaggeration!! This morning I am still trying to get the salt right, have obviously been on the light side but don't want to put too much in and have to drain the tank, saw some great live rock yesterday not too far away so waiting to get things right before I go and buy it, they also had lovely corals and fish so I know where to go now!!

good idea to 'get things right' before adding the live rock. Especially if it is rock from a local fish store that is fully cured and ready to go. If you put that live rock in brand new water, most likely all the beneficial bacteria would die from the water conditions. If you let your tank run like a week and then put in the cured live rock, it won't die off (it might a little but not as much) and really help your tank cycle faster as well.
