Welcome to the forum KMNicholls. It can be a bit difficult to really know how close a guppy is to giving birth. There is a link in my signature area to a thread started by 5teady the shows pictures of fish at different stages so that you can better judge how far along the female is. The link is called Ready to Pop.

thanks :)

Just finding it hard to tell if she is or not due to her size plus one min her black gravid spot is there then the next day it seems less or not present then
re-appears again -_- confussed

I try to judge by size and shape rather than colors. I find the color of the gravid spot is often misleading.

The girl in this picture had just given birth within a few hours. She is not very squared off in her belly and is not very large.

This is the same female 35 days after giving birth and getting close to going again. I think her belly size and shape are obviously different.

In both pictures, her belly is just a white color with a hint of yellow. There is no obvious gravid spot and it is not needed to tell the shapes apart. I hope the pictures help a bit.
