New To Breeding

Hi there everyone ok ill tell ya what ive done...firstly had tank set up now for about year n half now yes ive brought fish n some have died like everyones i guess my worse one was my angel fish i had him for ages was only a small wee one when i got him and grew huge bless it anyway would really love to breed a fish yes even one baby would be nice so brought some platies (have i spelt that right) got misture of ones some kinda marble colour some orange with what seems to be double black tails really cute looking and now i have a rather big platie have been looking up on what it looks like when bout to give birth n say about a black tummy hmmm cant see it but its BIG! so put in a new breeding tank mainly cos i have a red tailed black shark well 2 to be exact yes long story silly woman in shop told me to but 2 and thay are huge n chase each other round tank most of the day so thought better safe than sorry anyway getting bk to subject its in net today er i know u leave it in there for about 2 days after its given birth to give it rest is this right? what else do i do really need some step by step help would so appriciate it
