HELP I WANT THESE FISH!!!!

never mind!!!! i.d. made! it was a lusosso not even a barb at all! a distant west african tetra cousin. how do you thin this fish will do with pikes and polypterus? i also have a texas cichlid and a srs.

I did a little bit of research in hopes to ATTEMPT to answer your question since you haven't gotten a reply yet and I bet that can be aggrivating.

As far as I know it seems they would go well with what you have. I found Here that they are peaceful but prefer to be kept in groups of five or more and when full grown need to be in a larger tank.

Good luck with getting them!
They are beautiful fish!

yes, it can be very frustrating! thanks for the reply, i appreciate your time! im glad you got that info cause the "genius" at the lfs said they do better alone. if i end up getting my 150 this summer i think i may invest in 4 or 5.

again, thank you for your time.

There are some nice African barbs. Many of them look similar and all of them are hard to get on a regular basis. Most people don't even know they exist until they see some in a shop, then they go home and do some research before going back to buy them. But that is too late and the fish are gone never to be seen again.
They live in most tanks and are generally as hardy as any other barbs. They are all pretty peaceful and do well in planted tanks with small peaceful fishes. Not as easy to breed as other barbs.
