New To Axolotls

hello all. I have just returned from my lfs with 2 adult axolotls. a lady walked in while i was there wanting to get shut of them as her kids no longer showed interest. £10 lighter, and half hour later they are in my home. I have a 24x12x15 tank, lots of sand, tons of bogwood and pebbles and an air pump, all spare, and ready to set up for these little creatures. I know a small amount of information on there requirements as i like to read up on most little critters, so i have not bought them without knowing something about them.
The thing is, a place to put the tank? there isnt any, so before I move and shift loads of things out of the way, I would like to know if they would do well in my outdoor pond with my 4 inch goldfish, the water never gets warm as the pond is in shade for most of the day. what do you think, POND or FISH TANK?
ps. the pond is obviously much bigger than the tank. thank you in advance.

Goldfish would almost certainly do them a lot of damage if not kill them, so no tank indoors it is.

I personally would give them a larger tank of at least 3' length, but that's my preference

thank you saedcantas. I will enjoy reading those sites tomorrow. unfortunatly at the moment I cant manage a bigger tank, maybe I might move my live bearers out of there 4 ft tank and swap around. thanks again for the sites. cheers.
