I had to redo the gecko setup because... well... I kill any plant I touch. Everything died in there. Oops.
I worked on the snake tanks too while I was at it.
I know you guys are jealous of this shelf :hey:

Gecko setup. The red-ish leaves on the wall are from a piece of dead grapevine I found.

Very fat and happy garter who just ate a frozen pinky that was too big for the house snake

Great looking setups,I have the same problems with plants in my chameleon vivs,no matter how often i water them they die.
Infact i am off out to get some new plants for 2 of the vivs today

oh, nice place! take care of snake :), thanks

very nice geckos, the male looks stunning, and the female is nice too. have they bred? reason i asked if i am looking at getting some geckos in the near future and have seen the same tank in shops, but never thought what could live in it. now i know. would it be possable to give me any extra help about looking after them, from your own experiences, the link you provided is very helpful, but doesnt compare to owners stories.
what do they need to survive in terms of light, heat, etc
can they be handled?
cheers.

This particular species is more difficult to keep than others, and honestly I can't find any info on breeding them. My pair haven't bred and I have no idea how to make them do so . They are apparently either new to the hobby, or just not very popular. I'm guessing the former, since they seem to be well-liked when available. They like cooler temps, in the lower to mid 70s, damp conditions (so mist often,) but also like a lot of ventilation -- think mountain rainforests. They take small prey items, so even a full grown gecko will need medium crickets at the largest. They don't require any special lighting. The main problem is keeping the darn humidity up, and of course, making sure they drink. Like many arboreal geckos they sometimes refuse to drink from a dish, so their sole water source may be misting; a water feature, like a small waterfall, would be a good idea. I've caught my female drinking from a dish, lucky me, but dunno about the male.
