Nice tank :D You could try a rusty cichlid (iodotropheus sprengerae) for a unique orange-y color ;) and I think most synodontis catfish are beautiful and would work well in an african tank. One of my favourites is synodontis angelicus which gets to 8".

Hey there,

One of my tanks is the same as yours...they are a very good make those rena aquariums.

Just a thought, but this is because im anti plastic plants (so dont mind me), but have you thought of planting Java fern and Anubias in there? Malawi/Mbuna are usually ok with those tougher plants, some pees have even managed fully planted tanks.

Just a thought anyway, but really nce and good you have come back. I stopped for 8 years too, but that was when i went to uni and some years after, been back in for two years since I bought a house.

Ummm and well its kind of grown ...now have 4 tanks

If you are looking into getting catfish, i wouldnt reccomend the angelicus to go with the cichlids. A small group of something like Syno Euruptus or Syno Petricola would be well suited to your tank!

Ben :)
