New Tank

I'm gonna get a new larger tank for my inverts, and was wondering how i go about this. I'm gonna use the same filter, but a different heater, but I'm not dure what to do regarding the sand and the rocks etc. should I move them too? i think i will but...

anything else I need to do? what about the glass of the new tank? I'm gonna make it, but I know how and have done it before, so that's ok. what about hte micro organisms and algae that they need? How do I prevent loss of any shrimps or snails or any ammonia or nitrite spikes?

Transer as much of the water in their tank over as possible; if you are literally moving everything from one tank to another then I wouldn't have thought there would be any issues. Although anyone please feel free to correct me.
