hi everyone.

my husband and i just got 110g. we had it running for a week with a few fish, couldn't talk him into trying fishless, sorry  , tried real hard.

we took some gravel from our other tank, one of the filters and ornamants to help seed the new tank. in the week, we have had no ammonia, nitrites were 0.8 and now at 0, nitrates are at 10 and staying there

is it possible for a tank to cycle that fast? and is safe to add a few more fish.

If you "seed" a tank like this it is possible to cycle in a week, yes. In fact, if you already have a matured tank this is the prefered method of setting up a new tank.

Good luck!

 I keep a large tank, and Mrs do it in small moves, or it will cost you.
Hubby listen to wife.
It took me over a yr to get a large tank right, only because i rushed it all.
