Hey all....We'll after a long night of playing some TexasHold'em and alot of tempers fyling around the table, i walked away with $75 and a new tank....This was my buddys tank which he hasn't used in ages, but is in mint comdition except for needing a good cleaning...He didn't do so good last night and the cards were treating me like the pope....But he thought his two pair was good enough to bet his tank....too bad my flush was better :hey: . So here it is after collection today...It'll be my first SW tank and i've got alot of reading and questions ahead...I know that a small tank isn't suitable for SW newbs....But im going to give it a shot. He's got an established 90gal which im going to get some LR and some other odds and ends from.

Anyways...My first Q is...When cleaning a bare SW tank is there anything i should avoid cleaning it with??...Or can i clean it like a regular FW tank?

Thanks for any help...Ðigital

Since the corraline algae on the back is mostly just a form of calcium carbonate, vinegear will help dissolve it, and an old credit card is a good scraper.
