Hi ppl!

which tetras are good for an 80 litre tank which has finished its fishless cycle? i particularly like neons, black widows and cardinals. Also i like the look of cherry barbs so if they are any good can someone tell me?

cheers peeps

Well if you can tell me how many gallons that is I can help you further. But I'd suggest black tetras I have a species tank of all black tetras and one common pleco and they look great.

Black widows are almost certainly the hardiest of the three you mentioned. I have heard of people who use them for cycling. Neons and cardinals will be happier in a more mature tank.

Yes, the Black Widows are very tough. Cherry Barbs are also reasonable adaptable, but in small tanks, you want either a sexed pair, or a trio, 1 male 2 females. They are not a shoaling fish and 2 males may fight.

sounds cool but what should i do if i get loadsa babies? i dont have a separate tank

You won't. Egglaying fish are not like guppies.
