Hi,

I've had a bit of a change of plan. I'm in the process of setting up a 180litre Juwel tank (fishless cycling). I was originally looking at a community tank based around livebearers, however having been around quite a few LFSs recently, I'm starting to like the idea of a catfish based tank.

I want to get corys, and keep them happy, so I'm looking at 6 peppered corys to keep each other company. On top of this, I wanted a bristlenose, but I'm quite taken with starlight bristlenose plecs, so I've had a chat with someone at a local fish shop that I like, and he's going to look into getting me a pair. Looking at the one he's got at the moment, they're 35 pound each!! Is this about right - seems a bit steep to me? I'm based in Gloucestershire, England - do we have any breeders in the area on the forum that I could get in touch with?

Going by the 1" per gallon rule (I know, I know) I should be able to get a pair of pearl gouramis in there / a small shoal of tetras. Would this work?

Apologies for the mass of questions...
